DOC AUTOBIOGRAPHY: I started flowin back in junior high in a really raw sense... I’d change the words up and clown on songs, which evolved into writing by the time I was 16. I free styled on and off through high school while occasionally still writing, and completed "Always a good day" after my 18th birthday and have been writing regularly since then. After I received my high school diploma I started doing live performances freestylin at a few open mic’s plus a house party with a local Dj. Soon after, I found this just wasn’t good enough, and decided to take it to the next step… I realized this was what I wanted to do with my life and after a few studio sessions with Sean, it was clear we’d found a deadly combination and we decided to form “Doc N THA Brainchild.” We produced our first 4 songs in 3 weeks and Locked up a spot opening for Jon Damani on the Blackout Tour in February 08. After completing that successfully we went back into the studio and released our next 3 tracks including a collaboration track with Jon Damani called “Follow What We Say.” we are currently working on a couple more collaboration projects and hope to continue doing shows around Ontario meanwhile. In the coming months we will also be releasing our first first 1st CD and will be working incredibly hard to make it sound perfect. Our motto is simple… we here to stay
BRAINCHILD AUTOBIOGRAPHY: I was grown on music. I started Playing piano, bass and guitar at a young age. As I began to take music more seriously in high school my knowledge of theory began to grow. I took music all through high school and enjoyed playing in many bands. As high school came to an end I began building my home studio. To date I have put a lot of money into equipment ranging from mixers, microphones and computers, to guitars, bass’s keyboards and amps. Just as I began to start recording my own music however, I was re-acquainted with Jon at a new years party. We started talking, he mentioned he was really in to writing and performing. I told him about my set up and passion for music and from our First collaboration we new we had sparked a lust for success. I’m currently looking into new sounds, synths and recording programs to progress as a producer and to expand our already cutting edge sound. I have controlled live sound for many shows and have begun to record numerous artists in my studio. I have also found a passion for jazz and continue to look to it as a source for music theory.
Enjoy the Music.
